Join us on this unforgettable 3-day tour from Marrakesh to the Sahara Desert. This journey takes you through Morocco’s most captivating landscapes, prominent historical sites, and vibrant towns. From the high Atlas Mountains to the golden dunes of the Sahara, this is a trip you’ll never forget.
On the first day of our 3-day tour from Marrakech, We’ll pick you up from your Riad in Marrakesh and start the day by driving through the breathtaking and giant Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll make a stop at the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site with a rich history and majestic architecture. After exploring the Kasbah, we’ll continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa” for being a filming area of many famous films. We will visit local film studios and enjoy lunch at one of the city’s best restaurants.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to Boumalne Dades for an overnight stay, where you can relax and prepare for the adventures ahead.
On day two, we’ll get up early and head over to the magnificent Sahara Desert of Merzouga in the southeastern part of Morocco. On the way there, we’ll stop in Tinghir to explore the popular Toudgha Valley, famous for its cliffs and beautiful palm oasis.
Next, we’ll head to Tinjdad for a delicious lunch before continuing through desert towns like Mellab, Eljorf, and Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara.
Once we arrive in Merzouga, you’ll be welcomed with traditional mint tea before going out for a camel ride into the desert. The highlight of the day is reaching the highest sand dunes and witnessing an amazing desert sunset. We’ll spend the night at a desert camp, where you can experience the serene and calm beauty of the desert under a view of the stars above.
After enjoying a traditional desert breakfast at the desert camp, we’ll start our journey back to Marrakesh, but we’ll take a different road this time, passing through the desert towns of Alnif and Nkob. We’ll also stop at the Ait Saouen pass with its stunning view of the mountains and cliffs.
Along the way, we’ll capture some amazing photos and enjoy the incredible landscapes. Finally, we’ll head back to Marrakesh, bringing our 3-day Sahara Desert tour to a close.
