Upon your arrival in Casablanca Mohammed V Airport, our driver will greet you and give you a ride to your accommodation in the city or directly to a charming riad in the old Medina.
On the second day and after having our Moroccan breakfast, we’ll start our 10-day adventure from Casablanca to Marrakech with a short tour of Casablanca city. First off, we will visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque. Then, we will head over to Rabat, Morocco’s capital city, in order to explore some of its monuments such as the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas. In the afternoon, we will journey through the Rif Mountains to the blue city of Chefchaouen. Our overnight stay will be in the Riad
We are going to take a morning walk through the picturesque blue streets of Chefchaouen. After that, we are going to head south to explore the well-preserved Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located on the outskirts of Meknes. Afterwards, we will continue to Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities with a long history and many monuments to explore. We will spend the night there and get ready to discover the magic of Fes.
On this day, we will enjoy a full-day guided tour of the historic city of Fes. First off, we will go on a walk in the bustling old Medina. It is called Fes el-Bali. Next, we will drop by the Al Quaraouiyine University, the oldest university in the entire world. After that, we will visit the traditional tanneries & artisan quarters and many more. This local tour with our professional tour guide is a deep dive into Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital and will teach you plenty of things about Morocco in general and Fes city in particular. At nightfall, we will drop you off at your Riad for the night.
We will leave Fes and drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains through Ifrane (often called the “Switzerland of Morocco”) and the popular cedar forests of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques ( a type of monkeys). Next, we will continue our drive via the stunning Ziz Valley and finally reach the Sahara of Merzouga by sunset. We will go on a camel ride into the sand dunes to watch the magical Desert sunset and then we drop you off in a desert camp for the night.
A NEW DAY IS A NEW ADVENTURE ! Today will be dedicated to experiencing the Sahara desert, Nomads and their lifestyle. First off, we will go on a drive to visit some Nomad families living there by the Desert dunes, have mint tea with them and then carry on exploring the black volcanic desert and also stop in Khamlia village to listen to traditional Gnawa music. Later in the day, we will relax or try sandboarding, quad biking, or simply admire the sunset over the Sahara Desert dunes.
After breakfast, we will leave the Sahara desert behind and drive through Rissani, a small Berber town with its many markets before we carry on through the spectacular scenery all the way to Tinghir. Once there, we will be walking through the picturesque Todra Gorges, a paradise for Hikers and climbers. Next, we will head over to the beautiful Dades Valley, famous for its winding roads and kasbahs.
After breakfast, we are going to drive to Marrakech via the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. We will make a stop in Ouarzazate to explore its studios and museums and then carry on to the UNESCO site of Ait Benhaddou, a famous Kasbah or Ksar used in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After that, we will drive through the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka pass before arriving in Marrakech in the evening. We will spend the night there at the Riad in the old Medina.
Today will be dedicated to Marrakech. We will enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech city and its monuments. We will visit the most popular places such as the Koutoubia Mosque, a giant mosque in the heart of Marrakech with intricate architecture. Next, we will visit Bahia Palace,
Saadian Tombs and the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Not only that, but we will also explore some Gardens dating back to the French history in Morocco ( Les Jardin Majorelles, Yves Saint Laurent Museum etc…). Following that, we will explore the magical souks and artisan workshops as we walk around.
After our breakfast in Marrakech, we’ll drive you back to Casablanca Airport for your departure flight. We hope you leave with unforgettable memories and a heart full of Moroccan warmth. Here, Our 10-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech via Merzouga Desert comes to an end.
