This 6-day desert adventure offers you an unforgettable journey throughout Morocco. First off, we are gonna Start from the popular Marrakech, then move on to exploring the ancient kasbahs, dramatic mountain passes, valleys on the way as well as enjoy the magical golden dunes of the Sahara Desert. It’s a perfect combination of cultural discovery, enchanting landscape and a desert experience.
On the first day of our 6-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will leave Marrakech and drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, one of the mountainous roads in North Africa. Along the way, we will see many charming Berber villages and stop to admire the amazing landscapes. Next, we will also make a stop in the famous UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified picturesque Kasbah made of earthen clay. After the kasbah, we will carry on driving to Ouarzazate via the Valley of Roses in Kelaat M’gouna, before we get to Dades Gorges, where we will spend the night in a local guesthouse.
After a delicious breakfast in the morming, we will begin our drive to Todra Gorges, another beautiful corner known for its towering cliffs, high mountains and a picturesque river. Once there, we will go for a short walk along the river and then our journey continues to the Sahara desert. As we go, we will pass through a number of Berber towns of Tinghir, Tinjdad, and Erfoud and, eventually, we will reach Merzouga Desert with its golden sand dunes. Here, we will take a break from driving and catch a camel ride into the sunset. At nightfall, our camel men will drop us off at a traditional desert camp in the heart of the Sahara. We will enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner, listen to local music, and watch the bright stars above.
We will wake up early to watch the magical desert sunrise over the dunes and take pictures. After a nice breakfast, we are going set out on a full-day adventure to explore the Sahara and its surroundings. We will use a 4×4 vehicle to explore the Desert & the neighboring villages. First off, we will visit to Khamlia village; we will meet Gnawa people and listen to their spiritual music. Second, we will make a stop at some nomadic Berber family’s tent to see how they live and share a cup of tea with them. Next, we are going to explore the old Mifis mines. In addition to that, we will enjoy the beautiful views of the seasonal Dayet Sriji lake if there is water. Last but not least, we will head back to our hotel in Merzouga to relax or try some of our activities such as sandboarding or quad biking.
we are going to drive back to Marrakech, but we are still going to explore more of Morocco’s magical beauty. First, we will stop by Rissani, a small town with bustling markets, then carry on driving via the flat roads of Draa Valley, home to giant palm groves and ancient kasbahs all the way to Ouarzazate. Next, we will arrive in Marrakech & drop you off at your Riad to rest and get ready for more adventures.
This day will be dedicated only to a local tour in Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most fascinating and famous cities. Once in Marrakech, we will explore its iconic landmarks, namely the famous Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and enjoy a nice walk in the lively souks of the old Medina. Next, we will walk around Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the hotspot of Marrakech- full of storytellers, musicians, and street vendors and the like. Also, we could pay visits to other landmarks such as the enchanting Majorelle Garden and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum.
Note: we could arrange some activities for you or a 1-day excursion somewhere near Marrakech.
After our breakfast at the Riad, we will give you a ride to Marrakech Menara Airport in order for you to catch your flight. Depending on your flight schedule, we may have some time for some last-minute shopping or a coffee in the medina. This marks the end of our 6-day tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga Desert and back.

This 6-day desert tour completely exceeded my expectations. Every day was carefully planned, and the guides really cared about making sure we were comfortable. The highlight for me was the night in the desert — the silence, the stars, and the sense of peace are things you just can’t find anywhere else. I also appreciated how flexible they were. We stopped often to take photos, chat with locals, and enjoy tea in tiny villages. The visit to the kasbahs and the chance to learn about Berber culture was just as fascinating as the adventure activities. I’ll cherish these memories forever
