Our 4-day journey begins in Tangier, a city in north of Morocco and gateway between Europe and Africa. We will drive south through the stunning Rif Mountains, where we will stop to explore the blue town of Chefchaouen, wander through its blue alleys, vibrant medina, and picturesque plazas. After a nice visit, we will continue our drive via the scenic landscapes of northern Morocco and then arrive in Fes in the evening, one of the country’s oldest imperial cities.
On the second day & after our breakfast at the Riad, we will leave the busy city of Fes behind and drive to Merzouga via the peaceful Middle Atlas Mountains. Also, we will pass through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and stop in Azrou, a Berber town surrounded by cedar forests. Here, we will visit the famous cedar forest home to a friendly type of monkeys. Next, we will continue our journey through Ziz Valley with its oases and palm groves, until we arrive in the vast Sahara Desert of Merzouga. In the late afternoon, we shall enjoy a camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, watch the sunset and then drop you off at the desert camp for the night.
On the third day of our tour, we will get up early to see the magical sunrise over the Desert dunes. Next, we will hit the road toward Todra Gorges with its towering mountains and canyons that attract climbers and nature lovers from all over the world. Once, there, we will take some time to walk along the river and enjoy the beauty of the steep rock walls. In the afternoon, we will continue our drive through to Dades Valley, often called the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs,” and settle in for the night at a Hotel surrounded by dramatic gorges and amazing landscapes.
On the last day of our 4 days from Tangier, we will travel along the famous road of a Thousand Kasbahs towards Ouarzazate, commonly known as the Hollywood of Morocco and then visit the legendary Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a filming location for many iconic movies and series. After exploring the ancient Kasbah, we will drive through the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and enjoy panoramic views along the way before Arriving in Marrakech by evening, where our memorable 4-day adventure concludes.
