Itinerary

Day 1Agadir – Taroudant – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate

On the first day of our 4-day tour from Agadir, we will leave Agadir, head over east toward the beautiful town of Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakech” because of its medina and lively souks similar to Marrakech in some way. After a short tour around Taroudant through its historic sites and Medina, we will journey onward across the popular high Atlas Mountains to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known its picturesque kasbahs. Interestingly enough, it was featured in movies like Gladiator. Later in the day, we will carry on driving to Ouarzazate. We will spend the night there at a Riad.

Day 2Ouarzazate – Todgha Gorges – Merzouga

On the second day, we will get up  early to explore Ouarzazate before we head over the giant Todgha Gorges along with its towering cliffs and water-springs. We will enjoy a nice walk through the canyon and admire the beauty of this famous climbing destination. Then, we will continue our journey to the beautiful  dunes of Merzouga. When we arrive in the Sahara Desert of Merzouga,  we will get out of the car, catch camels and ride into the desert sunset and trek into the heart of the sand dunes. There we will spend the night in a cozy luxury desert camp.

Day 3Merzouga – Erfoud – Alnif – Tazarine – Nkob – Agdez

On the third day, we will make sure you  see an amazing Desert sunrise from one of the dunes. Then we will leave for Merzouga and travel through Erfoud, a small town famous for its fossil shops, then we will continue all the way to Alnif and Tazarine, two small Berber towns with palm oases and a peaceful rhythm. Also, the scenery is a series of beautiful arid hills. Next, we will cross Draa Valley and admire the beauty of Nkob, an authentic Berber village. Finally, we will arrive in Agdez. Once there, we will rest and spend the night at a comfortable hotel.

Day 4Agdez – Taznakht – Agadir

On the final day of 4-day tour, we will leave the peaceful town of Agdez behind as we make our way toward Taznakht, another village with traditional Berber carpets. Here, we could pay a visit to some local cooperatives and shop for authentic handmade souvenirs, then we will make our way back to Agadir through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, enjoying the last glimpses of that dramatic scenery. When we Arrive in Agadir, our 4-day desert tour from Agadir comes to a close.

The 4-day tour was packed with highlights — Ouarzazate’s film studios, the dramatic Todgha Canyons, fossil hunting in Erfoud, and of course the desert camp. But what made it really special was our guide, who shared so many stories about Berber culture and history. This wasn’t just a sightseeing trip it felt personal.

What an adventure! The scenery from the High Atlas to the Sahara constantly changed and was always breathtaking. I especially enjoyed the quiet charm of Nkob and the fossil shops in Erfoud. Riding camels through the golden dunes at sunset felt like a dream. A perfect combination of nature, culture, and relaxation.

Absolutely stunning from start to finish. I loved Taroudant’s authentic medina, and Ait Benhaddou was like stepping into a movie set! The camel ride at sunset into the Merzouga dunes was magical — truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Everything was well-planned and the desert camp was way more comfortable than I expected. Highly recommended!

I loved the mix of culture and nature on this tour. From the ancient kasbahs of Ait Benhaddou to the peaceful Draa Valley, everything was beautiful and meaningful. The stop in Taznakht was also special — I got to buy a handmade Berber carpet directly from the women who made it. A lovely cultural touch to end the trip.

This tour was well-paced and full of surprises. The Todgha Gorges were massive and impressive — walking through them was unforgettable. Our night in the Merzouga desert camp, under a sky full of stars and live Berber music, was the highlight. Everything was clean, safe, and very well organized. I’d do it again!
