    Itinerary

Day 1Fes- Ifrane- Middle Atlas Mountains- Erfoud- Merzouga-Sahara Desert

On the first day, our journey starts at your riad in Fes. First off, our driver will pick you up and head to Ifrane, known as the “Little Switzerland of Morocco,”. It is famous for its alpine architecture, clean streets, and a  prestigious university that hosts both Moroccan and international students.

As we driver further into the Middle Atlas Mountains, we will pass through cedar forests on the road. A home to Barbary apes. It is also a perfect spot for a short walk and some photos. After that, we’ll drive via the Tizi Talghomt pass, enjoying breathtaking views until we arrive in Erfoud.

We will make our next stop is Erfoud city, known as the gateway to the desert, before finally making it to Merzouga. Upon arrival, we will be welcomed with a glass of traditional mint tea. At that point, it’s time for your short camel trek across the dunes, as the sun goes down in the Sahara. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Camel men will drop you off at the desert camp for a cozy and calm overnight stay. Once there,  you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars and listen to live Berber music around the campfire.

    Day 2Merzouga- Rissani- Midelt- Fes

On the second day our journey, we recommend waking up early to see a breathtaking sunrise over the desert dunes. After that, we are going to enjoy a tasty desert breakfast, take a nice shower.
Having done that, we will head back to Fes, but we will still explore the lively town of Rissani, walk in its traditional souks and then drive through the magical mountain roads of the Middle Atlas, pausing for breaks from time to time before we arrive in Fes. By late afternoon, we’ll drop you off at your riad or airport in Fes.
